Audio and Acoustics Design & Consultant – throughout the years I have built or helped build several recording studios in many different countries and under varying circumstances. From state of the art facilities such as Alacran Studios in Miami, Toca do Bandido and AR Studios in Rio de Janeiro and the mysterious Studio Monasterio in Guayaquil, to a multitude of artists’ and producers’ studios such as Heavenly Music (for film composer Marcelo Zarvos in New York,) or film composer Plinio Profeta’s inspiring space in Rio de Janeiro, and my own China House (Rio de Janeiro), MusaNY (New York) and Batukada’s (Miami), my goal has always been to really understand the intention of the “owner” and the workflow and technical requirements it calls for, so that every element is designed or purchased (in the case of gear) aiming to customize and optimize the space for its musical intention. This careful and studied approach helps ensure a long and happy life to the space while avoiding traps and unnecessary expenses. When possible, I can be most effective when involved from beginning to end of design and construction process, but my input will help at any stage. My inspiration and motivation is the love I have for those “temples of creativity”. I represent the owner/artist in the process.
